Curses and blessings
I really, really wanted to begin this post announcing that my damn computer is fixed. But that is not the case. It's been a good month without internet, I've talked to every moron working at the internet helpline and today I hauled the computer in there to talk to someone in person. Right away I knew it wasn't going to go well. The office they have going smells like B.O. and mixed nuts. The guy helping me passed the time waiting for spybot to run eating from a big bowl of nuts, making paper airplanes to throw across the room and telling me what a great job this is because he never has to get up (he demonstrated by gliding across the room on his wheely chair). He assured me all problems were gone. I got home, plugged in my computer, and alas. THE SAME FUCKING PROBLEM! I HATE COMPUTERS!
Also, it's Wednesday, which means Art History. Professor Cooper crapped out the 3 hour lecture with his usual gusto: lots of enthusiasm for stupid crap ("You won't fail this course if you have never seen the Crystal Court, but you will not have led a full life"), lots of tangents (usually sexual in nature and usually involving him getting so worked up he knocks the microphone off his shirt and onto the podium making a loud crashing sound that wakes up all the people not already apalled and giggling by his deviation), and the incredibly annoying overuse of the phrase "by this I mean..." My word, I hate that class.
But, one must look on the bright side of life:
-Lunch with Brady at Hillel today. I am now the proud owner of a bright purple dreidel. Happy Hanukkah!
-Tomorrow's lunch will also be lovely, as it will be spent with Danielle, who is done pledging and is now officially initiated into AKPsi. This will be the miraculous second time I've seen her this week (the first being Sunday night when we stayed up until 2:30 catching up even though I had an 8:00 class the next morning. It was worth it).
-I finally got around to doing some laundry! And washing my dishes!
-Tori is on a date with Karli's brother's friend, so there will be some good gossip when she gets back!
-Molly is alive, even though she's being interviewed by detectives and newspapers after the flu shot scare over at Augsburg.
-Less that 2 weeks until break!
