"Finally I get to ride the head-cracker!"
I had a lovely weekend. I went to class Friday, which wasn't bad. Turned in my Shakespeare paper, watched a movie on accents in linguistics (lots about the Baaaahston accent, Renee). Came back, ate some UDS-tastic lunch. Chilled with Karli for awhile.
Dad came and picked me up. Jack had his Destination Imagination (aka Odyssey of the Mind) competition on Saturday, so I went home so I could go too. On the way home we stopped off at Gram & Papa's to say hello. Mike is staying there, recovering from his surgery. Those snazzy Mayo doctors took a muscle from his leg and put it in his arm. In a few months he'll finally be able to flex his arm again. So Mike and I sat around comparing slings. 'Twas fun.
Then we headed for home, picking up Arby's for us and Jack's nervous, stressed and panicked DI team on the way. Those kids had taken over our house by the time we got there. I spent the evening lying around watching Friends DVDs and picking my aunt Holly up from the airport.
The next morning we made our way over to Maple Grove HS to watch Jack's competition. I promise I will tell you more when I can post pictures, because it was seriously the craziest thing I've ever seen.
The rest of the day was rather lazy. I made up for an entire semester of having Art History on Wednesday nights by watching the America's Next Top Model marathon. While the rest of you will scoff, Cassie alone will be proud of me.
Before driving me home on Sunday, we returned to Gram & Papa's. So many people there. Gram, Papa, Holly, Mike, Jim, Laurie, Joey and baby Sammy. Sam is a cutie, but he was uber cranky while we were there. I've gained the reputation of being the cousin that pinches the baby. Hopefully this doesn't disqualify me from babysitting...
Back to Middlebrook to get nothing done. Dinner with Tori and Aaron. Church, where they did annointing of the sick during mass, which I've never seen before, let alone been a part of. I got in line to be annointed with the oil, and was amazed at what a long line it was. Practically half the congregation had something that ailed them (and while it was very powerful, it also started to turn into the doctor's office waiting room "I wonder what he's got" game). Back home. Read "Merchant of Venice." Stayed up to late talking to Tori and Karli about staying up too late.
Pictures coming soon...(provided those damn tech people can fix my computer!)

This is a bit off topic. I just wanted to check if you received your treasures. If you did get them, what do you think? Tell me, tell me, tell me!
