My excuse shall be that I've given up use of my right arm for Lent
Yeah, let's see how long I can last with this one-handed typing endeavor before I get bored.
My surgery went really well. The doctors got all the nasty tumor crap out of my shoulder, put my bone back together and sewed me back up. I was inthe hospital for 5 days where I didn't sleep, didn't eat, got all drugged up on medicines that made me sicker and basically went psycho by the end of it. I've been alternately amazed, grossed out and angered at the interworkings of the human body over the last week. I want to hug all the nurses in the world, especially my mom who has the amazing skill of knowing what I need before I even think to ask for it.
I'm back at home now, slowly getting back to a semi-normal collection of behaviors of say, standing and eating. My arm is in an immobilizer for the next few weeks-months--basically I can wave to you with my right hand and that's it. My incision is rather ugly, but David tells me it gives me street credibility (something I never had and never knew I wanted).
I love all of you who called and came to visit whilst I was in the hospital and since I've been home. I hope to see more of you soon! Also, I should mention that I haven't seen a single e-mail sent to me since about noon on Friday due to a computer issue I, as usual, haven't yet been able to solve.
Well, my left wrist hurts from handling all the typing (though I'm determined to get the hang of it) and it's late and I'm sleepy. I think I'm going to take some drugs and go to bed.
