Events of note

I'm pleased to announce that I am no longer an employee of the illustrious U.S. Bank. Friday was my last day, and I spent it mailing (as has been my custom lately). My family might note that I mailed out a little somethin' extra...we'll see if UPS delivers. One of my bosses, Kris, was nice enough to ask that I consider U.S. Bank in my future employment. I nodded politely. Then I ran out of there as fast as I could.

I had to say goodbye to Albert, my bus buddy, the week before because he's spending the week in training before heading off to Afghanistan. That was pretty sad (and scary). I've gotten to know him pretty well since I've worked at the bank. We had our last conversation in Spanish and wondered why we hadn't done that before.

This week is a short week, which is a positive thing because I'm already over it. And out of it. I walked into Child Psych this morning with no idea we had an exam. That's pretty bad, even for me. I'm also scrambling to get stuff done before I leave for...

ARIZONA.

We did a Thanksgiving Arizona trip a couple of years ago and it was most excellent. Dinner with Gramma and G.G. and the Riversos and laying by the pool. When I go to Arizona now I want to do basically the same things I wanted to do when I was 8. Roll into the Sky Harbor Airport, put my sunglasses on, jump in the pool, get ice cream at Randy's, feed the ducks, do the "par course" at the park, and basically just chill in the land that smells like oranges. I am quite excited.
